What a fun day today! It started with Morning Watch, Discovery and Skills before and after lunch.

Today we had a Special Program event! The “Real life apps” Carnival was a hit with the kids. They played the games Angry Birds, Paper Toss, Temple Run, Draw Something, Fruit Ninja and Four Pics One Word. It was really fun to watch the kids (and counselors) get into the games and see their competitive side come out.

Kim talked about being first and last in the Kingdom at Chapel tonight. He showed a funny clip of sesame street puppets playing a game where the first became last and the last became first (Follow this link to Youtube to see it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oltFGbA0mZc). Kim also wanted to tell the kids about how much Jesus loved us and that that is what matters in the Kingdom, not who is last or first.

Matthew 18:1-5

18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
