Today is the last full day of camp before the campers go home. Everyone got to do their skills for the last time. Last swim/boat/tuck time. We had our last special program of the week. The last big brother/sister time. Last Chapel. A day of lasts. And one thing we do on the last day is have a fireside after snack. All the cabin groups sit together out by the lake beside a fire. We sing some songs, do some sharing about the highlights of the week, things we’ve learned and commitments we’ve made. Then we finish it all off by praying together. A nice little evening that really sums up what camp is all about.
We’re sad to see everyone leaving, but it was great to see all the fun times that were had, and all the learning and growing that happened this week. Hope to see you all again soon!
