The end draws near and the time has come. And what do you do when anything is at its end? Celebrate! Last night we had our Medieval Times Feast and it was a great feast at that! The messiness of no cutlery was paired well with the entertainment of the evening- arm wrestling and sword duels between short time rivals got the crowds roaring, while an interpretive river dance had us all clapping with joy.

This concluded our camp wide game “How to train your Counselor”. Basically, throughout the week campers earned points for their cabin by achieving something great in skills or being found doing a kind act of service for a fellow Red Rock-er. They earned the most points by memorizing and reciting verses. These points they would then use to complete quests with their cabin and receive a badge, leveling up their counselors. Whichever had the highest achievements would get knighted. And that is what concluded the feast! Our winning counselors were from the lands of Juniper Hollow, Abe’s Island Bay and Mountain Ash.

Last night was an all around great night as it continued with Denver breaking down the beatitudes in Chapel, and a fantastic Worship night later in the evening. The CIT’s and support staff stayed after to praise God and pray for all the staff and CIT’s leaving to go on to what God has called them to do.

Thank you so much for all your prayers this summer. We have seen the effects of them, from safety in what should have been and incredibly damaging storm to healing of the more intense sicknesses. Not to mention continued energy throughout the whole summer and a beautiful mild summer. Thank you, thank you, thank you! And all the praise and honor and glory be to our God, the King.
