Hooray For the 70’s!!

Today the campers got to enjoy most of the day outside. The rain stopped shortly after everyone woke up, and things had dried by lunch for the most part. The sun was shining and warm. All the water skills got to enjoy the water. The power water sports skill got to enjoy some tubbing, as the wind was quite strong today. The campers also got to participate in one of two morning chapels for this week. Campers were smiling all throughout the day. After supper for special program the campers were separated into teams by cabin groups and got to play some intense rounds of 70’s dodgeball. There was some great 70’s music playing and so much dancing. The staff all dressed up and so did some of the campers. It was such a hype time. This evening in chapel the campers got to experience God and worhsip Him through song and scripture. Today the campers learned that elevating Jesus as Lord means that he is the only thing that can save you, and not the other things in our lives that we may elevate. They looked and a bunch of verses in the book of Romans. They also learned that Jesus bridges the gap between sin and God. The campers had a great time today and were so happy to be able to be outside for lots of the day.
