Homemade Jam and Poutine!

Today was the last full day of Summer Scorcher 2019, and it was a blast! The campers had a great time, even though it was a bit rainy in the afternoon. During chapel this morning, Kent, our speaker, talked about the different ways we can worship, including prayer and singing, but also serving, giving and experiencing God through nature. He challenged us to find a form of worship that we maybe were not as comfortable with and to work at making it a regular part of our lives. Because of the rain in the afternoon, many of the skills did alternate activities like playing card games and learning to make bracelets. During Swim Boat Tuck we had the finals for the sports tournaments, and the sun started to shine! This evening, our final special program was Homemade Jam, which is a program of live acts and videos made by the staff. It was a time filled with lots of laughter and fun, ending the day with poutine for snack! We had an amazing time this week at Summer Scorcher, learning about God, building new friendships and having lots of fun.
