Sizzler 2 : Day 1

The first day of camp was awesome! Campers got to meet all of their cabin mates and become closer with them and their counsellors. They got to pick three skills today which they will be doing all week, they get to pick from skills like canoeing, climbing, photography, and arts and crafts. Campers got to spend time with their Big Brothers and Sisters today. This is when the cabins are split into groups of two or three, each group has a counsellor or staff member who is their Big Sibling. The purpose of this time is so that campers can build a deeper bond with a staff member and their co-siblings and have an even more amazing week. In Chapel today, the speakers talked about how we should elevate and worship God’s name in not just the good times but also in the bad times an that God’s love has always been there for us. All in all it was a super fun day and a really good start to the week!
